Q1 Answer about the differences in mufflers

A1: About Sound (Compared to the original HM300)
  • Initial model no-number muffler (lotus root) ⇒ Sound close to the HM300 of that time
  • Later model no-number muffler (thick core) ⇒ Heavier bass than HM300 (Focused on the sound of that time)
  • Genuine HM341 muffler ⇒ Quieter than the genuine HM300 due to noise regulations
A2: About the Deflector Pipe (Core)
  • Initial model no-number muffler (lotus root) ⇒ Becomes a straight pipe when the deflector pipe is removed.
  • Later model no-number muffler (thick core) ⇒ Contains the deflector pipe (thick core).
  • Genuine HM300 muffler ⇒ Same structure as the later model, but the core is thinner.
  • Genuine HM341 muffler ⇒ Different structure of the deflector pipe due to noise regulations. Therefore, the core cannot be swapped with the no-number muffler or HM300.
A3: About Sales Status
  • Initial model no-number muffler (lotus root) ⇒ No longer available for sale
  • Later model no-number muffler (thick core) ⇒ YAMIYA reissue currently for sale
  • Genuine HM300 muffler ⇒ No longer available for sale
  • Genuine HM341 muffler ⇒ No longer available for sale
